Making music with special children 2024

We are pleased to announce that our two-day training course is returning in November. We will be running the course in our usual London (7th-8th) and York venues (11th-12th) and we look forward to welcoming our next group of music makers. It is a practical, hands-on course that is suitable for family members of, or professionals across a range of hospice, education and care settings working with, children and young people with life-limiting illness and/or special educational needs and disabilities. We also welcome musicians, music educators and music leaders who want to develop their skills in working with children and young people with complex needs. You can find out more and booking on our training course page here.

Feedback from previous attendees includes:

“I was astonished that I was able to leave the course knowing how to play the ukulele/guitar (albeit only 2 or 3 chords, but we all have to start somewhere.) I had always believed that learning how to play musical instruments to be difficult and complicated, but the teachers dispelled this and made it super simple. This has given me the motivation to want to learn more to improve my personal musical skills for my music sessions with the children and young people I work with.”

“Certainly one of the very best courses I have ever attended – truly transformative!”
