Making music with The Dales School

We recently ran a five-day creative music at The Dales School, Northallerton, who cater for children aged 2-19 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, which the school said was a ‘magical experience for all involved’. Our musicians Joe and Helen worked across a range of classes to bring music into the lives of their pupils, as well as leading training with staff. Feedback from staff included:

‘Your musicians just get our kids. No one else has ever got them before.’

‘I feel like I’ve won the lottery getting to join your session again!’

We are looking forward to returning in September for a one-year staff development project, supporting the school to really embed the culture of music for communication for all pupils.
