Sheffield Guild of Strings

The musicians of the Sheffield Guild of Strings are delighted to be raising money for Jessie’s Fund in their inaugural concert on Sunday 29th October 2017 at 4pm. The concert takes place at Yellow Arch Studios, 30-36 Burton Rd, Sheffield S3 8BX.

Presented by Polly Ives and featuring music by Edward Elgar, Gustav Holst, Benjamin Britten and Edvard Grieg, this family friendly concert will take the audience on a journey through the English countryside to the rhythmic dances of Norway. This accessible-for-all performance will feature choreography, visual displays and sensory activities for the children and the young at heart to be involved with, or if you prefer simply sit back and enjoy the beautiful music.

The Sheffield Guild of Strings was formed in April 2017. As professional musicians, our ambition is to perform the vast repertoire of beautiful and exciting string music to audiences across the North of England.
