Gift Aid

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. It is a scheme administered by HMRC which allows us to claim 25p for every £1 that you donate from your personal money. So, for example, if you donate £40 we can claim an extra £10, making your gift worth £50.

If you confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and tell us that you would like Jessie’s Fund to treat all donations that you make from the date of your declaration as Gift Aid donations, we will do so until you notify us otherwise.

You need to have paid, or will pay in the current tax year, an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax that is at least equal to the tax that charities you donate to will reclaim on your donations. If you have made a Gift Aid declaration but have not paid enough tax to cover the amount reclaimed from HMRC by charities, it is your responsibility to pay any difference. You can find the government’s detailed information about Gift Aid here.

Should you choose to withdraw from the Gift Aid scheme at any time in the future, please inform us by email, post, or phone. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

If you donate to us online you will have the opportunity to tick the box which confirms you would like to Gift Aid your donation. If you would like to send us a donation by post, it will help us if you do so with the form which you can download here.

Donating via Gift Aid makes a huge difference to us – thank you!
