Three marathons in three days, on challenging terrain? It may be madness, but that’s what Robert Clarke has done in aid of Jessie’s Fund. He had a novel way of asking for sponsorship: asking people to sponsor a song, so with any donation supporters picked a song which he added to his playlist for running to.
This is part of a long quest to work through an A – Z of marathons, and Rob picked Jessie’s Fund as his charity for the Jurassic Coast Challenge. He says: ‘Jessie’s fund – as well as being alphabetically suitable – does fantastic work with children with severe illness, complex needs and communication difficulties, through the therapeutic use of music, helping them to connect and interact with the world.’
Rob raised almost £600 for us – and it’s not too late, you can still support his gargantuan efforts here!
