Quartet for the End of Time

Hear this extraordinary, iconic work by Olivier Messiaen in an early evening concert in north London on Sunday 29th September. The Quatuor pour la Fin du Temps was composed in a German prisoner-of-war camp and first performed there in January 1941 by Messiaen himself, with three fellow prisoners.
