Strings play for Jessie’s Fund

Philip Olleson and friends from Nottingham and further afield are meeting on the weekend of 21-22 July for a workshop to rehearse and perform two of the finest and best-loved works of the string orchestra repertoire: Dvorak’s Serenade for Strings in E and Richard Strauss’s Metamorphosen for 23 solo strings.

The workshop will conclude with a performance of both works, at 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 22 July at the Djanogly Recital Hall, University of Nottingham, NG7 2RD.

Admission is free, with a retiring collection for Jessie’s Fund. Tickets are available on the door.
