We are very grateful to the West Bridgford Social Singers, who have raised £3375 for Jessie’s Fund this year through concert donations and their incredible marathon fundraising event. They are a community choir based in West Bridgford who sing a varied repertoire of tunes from the shows, traditional ballads, contemporary material and Gospel melodies. Each year they choose to support two charities, and we were nominated by much missed choir member Teddy, who was passionate about music and education. As well as collecting donations at two of their concerts, they raised £9,000 for three charities with their amazing marathon day. Members of West Bridgford Social Singers and partner choir Everyone Can Sing ran, walked, swam, cycled and even rowed 26 miles in May and we would like to thank all those who took part, helped behind the scenes, supported and donated. A special thank you also to Jan who came up to York twice to present us with the cheques; it was great to speak with you about our work and learn about the choir. Your contributions mean we can help give a voice to even more children and young people with complex needs across the UK.
