Once again we are running our two-part training courses online, but they are still full of fantastic ideas and techniques for making music with children who have complex needs. We’re offering two courses before Easter, led by our expert team of tutors: Mark Withers, Cathy Ibberson and Vicky Kammin.
The first course takes place on take place on 8th and 21st February (4pm-7pm), and the second on 16th and 23rd March (4pm-7pm). Between the two sessions every participant will have the chance to benefit from two bespoke tutorials. For more information and to book on this course, click here.
I loved how positive everyone was – and how each tutor was keen to respond to the individual needs of tutees – I can confidently say that this course provided the most student centred teaching I’ve ever had.
I felt empowered by the trainers to be able to use music to communicate where words perhaps would not suffice. This alone blew my mind. Additionally mix that with all of the tools and experience that were shared I feel totally inspired to develop communication skills and to speak to others about how to use music to provide an enriching experience for pupils of all abilities.
Thank you for everything you do – I thoroughly enjoyed the course and it has given me a fresh motivation and enthusiasm for music. It will 100% make a difference to how I use music in my role at the hospice. At the moment the music therapist cannot access the care floor so for us to be able to provide some music instead will be a great benefit for the children in our care.
