Julia has worked for BBC World Service radio and for Amnesty International on its Brazil Research Programme. She has also run her own small independent publishing company for non-fiction books. In recent years she has focused on being a writer and novelist. Having a lifelong interest in communication, she is inspired by the work of Jessie’s Fund in supporting children to express themselves through music.
