We are pleased to announce that our two-day training course is returning in November. We will be running the course in York (10th-11th) and London (17th and 18th) and we look forward to welcoming our next group of music makers. It is a practical, hands-on course that is suitable for family members of, or professionals across a range of hospice, education and care settings working with, children and young people with life-limiting illness and/or special educational needs and disabilities. We also welcome musicians, music educators and music leaders who want to develop their skills in working with children and young people with complex needs. You can find more information and booking links on our training course page here.

Feedback from previous attendees includes:

“The training was perfect for the children we look after at the hospice and there are so many aspects I can take back and use with our children and pass on to my colleagues. It’s very rare to find training aimed at children and young adults with complex medical needs and life limiting conditions so this was an amazing opportunity. I couldn’t pick a favourite aspect as it was all so beneficial to my role.”

“Certainly one of the very best courses I have ever attended – truly transformative!”

Above all the experience and knowledge of the course leaders Mark and Vicky made this course truly relevant with so many practical learnings based on the underpinning theory the tutors brought with them. An enjoyable 2 days on its own for any fan of music but certainly an important way of passing on skills and understanding to even more front line workers to bring for the students. This course and line of work is bringing music to those most in need in the UK and beyond so thank you everything. Also would highly recommend to any practitioner teaching music at any level. A gem of a course.”
