We recently heard from Martin House Children’s Hospice about the impact of our latest support for their Music Therapy service:
“We would like to say a big thank you for the extremely generous grant made from Jessie’s Fund towards our Music Therapy provision. Your support means the world to us and makes a difference to the children, young people and families we care for.
“Music Therapy plays a large part of these unique experiences, and our Music Therapy sessions are held in our specialist Music Technology room, which is jam packed with equipment, instruments and enthusiasm. We have instruments aplenty, plus DJ mixing equipment, recording equipment and computer programmes complete with visual effects suitable for children with decreased mobility who may find holding and operating an instrument difficult. Most children experience a music session at some point during their stay at Martin House and it allows them to express their thoughts and feelings in a positive way when they may struggle to articulate them any other way.
“We are extremely thankful for your support, and I have been told that Jessie’s Fund was fundamental in the beginnings of Music Therapy at Martin House. I hope you know that your support is making a real difference to our families, and it is never taken for granted.”
