Listen to the beat, feel the music and join the Jessie’s Fund band to celebrate the power of music!
We are delighted to share our latest interactive music session for children with additional needs, designed to cater for the processing times of sensory learners with complex needs. In this session, we feel the rhythm and the pulse of our New Orleans-style music in different ways.
We were honoured that the staff and students of the West Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) Farnley Partnership agreed to be part of our celebration. We are also grateful to all our Big Give donors who funded this project as part of our Christmas Challenge. We couldn’t have made this joyous music without you!
You can join the session however you like, but you might want to have something to drum, such as a tub or box, and something to shake – rice or grains in a tupperware works well. You might also like to have a piece of fabric or a scarf for sensory stimulation and massage. Alternatively you can just sit back and feel the music.
You can watch it via our YouTube channel or in the resources section of this website.
We’d love to hear if you’ve enjoyed this session, please do get in touch with us by contacting info@jessiesfund.org.uk
