Exciting developments are coming to our schools programme.
We have been granted funding from Paul Hamlyn Foundation for the next three years to improve the sustainability of our impact in schools.
We will be working alongside our musician team and school partners to create an accreditation framework for specialist school settings. It will recognise and celebrate the hard work and commitment they have shown by embedding music as a tool for communication across the schools.
In addition, we plan to create a Jessie’s Fund schools network. This will allow schools to share good practice with each other and it means that we can deepen and extend our relationships with the schools we work with. We already have a list of schools who are keen to join us and help us shape what the network will look like.
Ultimately, having these additional structures in our programme means that even more children and young people will experience the power of music during their school life, working with staff who are confident and skilled in engaging with them.
We are currently at the early stages of this work and we look forward to sharing future developments with you. If you are based in a school setting and would like to find out more, please contact us: info@jessiesfund.org.uk
